State expenses vs revenue

Looking at revenue vs expenses even before Georgia turned blue TN was in a significantly superior position. The link allows you to compare up to 3 states at a time, look at trends, and current (as currently available) data. And Tennessee does this with no state income taxes.

But that means Tennessee suffers in other areas right?
Georgia spends roughly 1,000 more per student K-12 (https://www.learner.com/blog/states-that-spend-the-most-on-education#methodology) but have a higher graduation rate than Georgia.

imagine if we didn’t have west TN dragging us down. East TN is booming with a perfect combination of production and tourism. The mild weather, lower crime, great education, and thriving economy make almost ideal. I do miss the hunting and fishing of Georgia but the trade off is more than offsetting it. And I have a plan for fishing this year that includes large mouth fishing again. I will also start back deer hunting such as it is here(they stalk hunt instead of stand hunting).
