Have you had a good take about anything Alabama related ever? That logo is beautiful.

I like the current midfield football logo. But please put the retro one on the basketball court

Same here. Finally found a decent jacket with the old logo on it on Fanatics.com and received it a week ago. Really good quality stuff.

Block A and elephant is far and away our best ever. Really tired if script A, which looks like Atlanta Braves and Arkansas.

Some items should stay in the past. I'm sure older fans might actually like that logo.

I love this logo; I became a fan in the early 70s, and this logo coincided with my interest in the Tide and one of the greatest runs in our history.

Having said that, I honestly don't think it will translate well as an on-field image. Apparel and such -- no-brainer. Hardwood (basketball) should be fine as well. On turf, though ... I'm not sure it will work well.

What ?

It's my favorite, and has so much character and spirit.

I dont have a problem with the current logo, but it has such a corporate brand feel to me lacking any spirit or cool factor.

It gets the job done and looks clean, but the old logo just has something more that feels right to me, and now would be a good time for DeBear to make the program his with changes like this to usher in a new era.

There is a mashup of the two logos that could be a common ground, but I dont like it as much as the old pure logo:

Now THIS is an abomination that should be put away and hopefully everyone forgets it ever existed:

I don’t know what you consider as older fans but I’m 38 and I love this logo.

This would be glorious at midfield and gets my vote and full support. I hope it happens. It's time to shake things up a bit.

I remember reading somewhere that was the case. That it’s hard to get that level of detail in the paint.

It seems like that’s something that can be done with field turf (UAB has pretty detailed midfield logo) but not regular turf. All for it if they can do it though.

Maybe 50 years ago, but the paint guns they use now for the field would have no problem making it look amazing with great detail.

If LSU can paint a tiger-eye at mid-field then by god we can pull this off
