Okay, since you apparently don't get polite language, I'll say it impolitely.

It's foolish for Texas and OU fans to not realize they're going to lose more games than they expect as they adjust to the talent level in the SEC.

You seem to think an "adjustment" means you'll dominate the conference you're coming into. The reality is that while both OU an Texas are good enough to win even against the top teams in the SEC, the fact that every team other than Vandy has more talent than all but 4 Big 12 teams had means that a poor performance against almost anyone is going to earn you a loss rather than a close win. And neither OU nor Texas is used to that.

That performance against K-State last season? That's a loss against any SEC team other than Vandy. That Houston performance? Loss to everyone perhaps INCLUDING Vandy.
That TCU performance? THat's a loss against half the SEC teams. Your 2-loss season last year is a 4-loss season or worse against a SEC schedule, just because SEC teams have way more talent across the board. You aren't going to lose all of them, but you can't afford the down games you've gotten away with in the Big 12. The most you can be down and expect to get a win would be your performance against TCU last year.

None of this happened when aggie and mizzou joined your league and neither of them rolled into your league with top 10 talent anywhere on their rosters. They did just fine and they were both turds in the BIG XII. That's a fact, whether you like it or not.

You can pretend history doesn't exist all you want, but I don't play pretend because I'm not a pussy who needs to cling to a self-comforting narrative.

We fully expect a more competitive league. We'll work out and make sure we watch tape. Shut the frick up already. Goddamn....

We also weren’t giant, insufferable assholes, proclaiming we were going to take over.

We were grateful to be here, enjoyed the initial stop at each new stadium, and rolled with the punches.

The SEC wasn't as talented in 2012.

The past decade, there has been a scramble in the SEC in terms of recruiting where the SEC has put a significant gap in talent between themselves and the rest of college football. At that time teams like Ole Miss, MSU and Kentucky weren't in the top 50 of talent rankings.

Nick Saban kicked it off when he came to Bama, but it took teams a few years to get their shite together and increase their recruiting as well.

There were a lot more games on the schedule 10-15 years ago where you could coast to wins with sub-par talent. That's not the case the last 5-7 seasons.

That's why Mizzou and A&M with less talent were able to have some success their first few years... then they hit a wall. (A&M in 2014, Mizzou in 2015). They've both raised their talent as well the last few years.

Look, I expect OU and Texas to win some big games the next couple of years. But you're going to lose some to teams you are better than as well. Both teams have talent, but you're simply not getting that an off week against Mississippi State or Arkansas or Kentucky isn't going to be a close win like those off weeks against Iowa State, West Virginia or Kansas State were in the Big 12.

You can feel free to disagree if you like. We'll see soon enough when the games start.
