I never understood why Kyle didn’t host more concerts or events during the summer when the stadium isn’t in use. It seems like a lot of college stadiums could make summer money by hosting concerts in the evening, avoiding the heat. I really hope the can sign a deal for the George Straight concert.

Looks like the soccer game is all but confirmed. I actually follow the Concacaf league, and I’m tired of soccer games like the US vs Mexico or Canada being played in Boston and Chicago, in baby size stadiums, in cold weather. I always wondered if US soccer picked doing games in the north and cold weather as a strategic advantage.

It's not the cold weather they are looking for, but rather, majority USA crowds. Hard to find that anywhere that has a big Mexican-American population as those folks tend to root for Mexico. I'm sure Mexico likes the prospect of about 90,000 Mexico fans in their match against Brazil.
