Texas proposed a conference network for T3 content and was shot down. Texas then went to TAMU and proposed a Lonestar Network and TAMU rebuffed because they were too poor to front the startup money and didn't want Texas to have more control as the bearer of funds. What else should we have done?

Same reasons as you, plus: (a) paying players is legal now, (b) we gain 2 historical rivals back.
