Hugh Freeze says that he didn't get too involved in the offensive gameplan this week because of recruiting. He didn't feel like the plan was great.

Auburn sure showed that dastardly Penn State in their home and home series a few years ago!

Potato head was masquerading as a competent head coach those two years. Huge asterisk!

LSU should be higher than 11,

We have to prove we can field a defense. Weve only got a couple defensive tackles and will rely on a freshman to contribute. Not ideal. And our secondary needs work to, they are very young but talented.

We should be able to score on anyone though.

Yep. LSU is incredibly difficult to predict for pre-season this year. We had an abysmal defense and lost our Heisman qb. But we’ve made D changes and potentially still have a very good qb (although different).

Pretty much anywhere they would rank us is based on best guesses and their gut feelings.

This seems like a composite of their recruiting rankings and their transfer portal rankings. Not a bad way to do it honestly.

Really? How many of those incoming HS seniors will be starting or playing at all.

Sure the transfers will get some play time most likely. Most of the HS kids will be on the benches and not contributing to the team's success.

These voting outlets, especially the AP and ESPN, should use discrete analytics to evaluate every returning player and build a composite team score for rankings.
