As we must be one of the few on here who follow wrestling, I'd suggest (if you can get it) that you watch the BIG10) channel every Friday night and some on the weekends. I just watched 2 matches and next Friday it's Iowa vs Penn State.
I know this isn't SEC/Big 12, but a lot of the guys will be meeting Mizzou wrestlers in the NCAAs.
Fun to see what we're up against.

Agreed on the Big 10 network, I always record all their matches. Not only does the Big 10 have incredible matches but the coverage is really good. Note the Tigers were horrible yesterday vs Okie State. Hell only O'Toole and Rocky even scored a damn takedown. Embarrasing performance, sad as it was the biggest home crowd ever and the crowd was ready.

Even worse after last weeks loss at Cornell. Wrestling is a weird sport sometimes teams just come out and look like shite. Iowa did the same vs Michigan on Friday. Here is my quick breakdown
125-Surtin lost in OT in a close match, that weight class has been wild all year
133-Forfeited to OSU. No idea were Moore was. This was huge as OSU sent out a JV guy to take it and bumped Fix to 141.
141-Edmond lost to Fix 2-1 on a shitty stall call.
at this point being down 12-0 was huge and not having a wrestler for 133 allowed Fix to jump up and win a match.
149-Gioffre was out #11 kid so JV kid went in and got beat by #22 ranked kid.
15-0 Having Moore and Gioffre out screwed the dual but frankly it can not be blamed on that as Mizzou wrestled horribly.
157-#8 Mauller kist #15 kid 4-2 but looked like shite
165-#1 O'Toole was a solid 5-1 match vs #3 kid
174 #5 Mocco gets beat by #29 kid, looked horrible
184-#11 Whiting lost decision but was domninated by #2 kid
197-#8 Rocky majors OSU backup for a major
285-#5 Zach beats #9 guy 1-0
It started with a tough loss @125 then spiraled out of cotrol with the forfeit, Fix bumbin up and then a backup lossing a match at 149. right then it was done but then the eggs laid by Mauller and Mocco turned a loss into an embarrasing loss. Better get their act together as #4 Iowa St, #10 South Dakota St and a ranked Northern Iowa is coming up in the next couple of weeks.

O’Toole and Carr is tough to call. Carr dominated the 1st matchup at the Hearns last year, pinned O’Toole in overtime at Big 12 finals but the match was super close just caught Keegan in a scramble. National finals Keegan seemed to have figured Carr out and beat him in dominate fashion. 1st match up this year is Sunday so do we see dominance from one or another nail biter. Carr is an amazingly athletic wrestler, great hips and hard to score on. O’Toole is just a technical machine. It seemed last year that O’Toole got better each time out. With 2 national champs of their quality anything could happen.

What's going on with the wrestlers? Coach just announced a "limited roster due to illness and injury" for this weekend.

Not sure what is up, just missed Coach Smith’s interview on KTGR. Tonight only 2 1st stringers wrestled both had good wins but the 2nd stringers got handled by UNI.
