Seems like the Alabama fans are the most negative in this post.
I said I wasn't trolling. I'm curious what y'all think. Not hope, but what you're thinking as OU and Texas enter, and shake things up.
I don't think DeBoer is a bad coach, and he's probably going to be fine long-term. But if it had been my team, I would have wanted-
A) Saban to take the program through expansion, and then retire once the new pecking order is set.
or
B) Retire 1-2 years earlier, so that the new guy is established prior to expansion.
B is where Kelly is. Is he better than DeBoer? Dunno; but we've figured out he isn't a disaster now.
If you're one of the SEC powers, you at least want to be at the point where OU or Texas comes to play you on your field, and quickly realize they ain't in the Big 12 no more.

If only there was some evidence that DeBoer could compete against the new teams joining the SEC over his 2 years at lowly Washington. I guess us Bama fans will just have to tremble in the unknown while we wait and see what happens.
