That’s revisionist history at it’s finest. Mostly comes out of academia ironically but then again academia is sheltered from the real world. So you agree that Nigerians and other Africans are hired by intelligent employers. Careful. Someone might call you a racist.

The “culture” as some would call it stems more from the welfare programs that started in the mid 60’s. The nuclear family in many American Black communities began to fizzle. Let’s consider why many 3rd-4th generation blacks outside of the south still talk with a black southern accent with intentional at times the use of bad grammar. Are they forced into that? There are many programs that are not taken advantage of in the community as it should. But when you have an excuse or ten along with academia nonsense, you can justify the never do well behavior a lot easier. Well….if they promise to vote anyway.

Yes, Nigerians have developed a reputation for being valuable employees, with many rising in managerial positions.

The welfare programs have been a safety net for millions of Americans of all races. What the African American communities need is a massive investment in the trillions for education and economic development. I also feel areas like Appalachia, need investments to help those left behind from the disappearing coal industry. The desire is there but the commitment is not.
Programs do exist for many black and white but most do not take advantage of them. Many people don't trust the government.
