Shouldn’t just have this feeling toward Grubb. DeBoer is just a culpable for the drag along.

Agreed. Pretty unprofessional in my opinion. Can’t say I wish him success…

I don't give a frick about the NFL, ergo I don't give a frick about the Seattle OC.
Who is going to be DeBoer's OC now?
Has DeBoer ever called plays on offense?

Internal promotion or Kirby Moore will the hire.

Just got an extension from Mizzou.
$1.2m/year.
It'd be pretty shitty of him to leave Mizzou now, wouldn't it?

As a fan it's annoying to see a well-respected coach who (a) just committed to coming to Alabama, (b) decide to leave our team already within a matter of weeks, thereby (c) creating a lot of uncertainty that we just thought we'd left behind (at least the portal is closed, right?).
Having said that, I can't call it unprofessional. Obviously, this guy (Grubb) has been very loyal to DeBoer, but he was ready to stand on his own feet: it was reported that Grubb really wanted the Washington HC job. So, it was kinda clear that we were getting a short-term guy as our OC, although I really didn't want to think about that right now: I was very excited about the new staff on both sides of the ball. In fact, I was much more excited than I ever thought I could be after HCNS's retirement.
Anyway, 'the king is dead, long live the king'. Grubb's gone, so be it, so let's move on to a new OC who does not have one eye on the door.
The good thing is that it's DeBoer's offense, so we are not in a bad place. Knowing how DeBoer operates, we can expect him to hire someone he knows from previous coaching staffs. That indeed makes Kirby Moore, Missouri's OC, who was with DeBoer at Fresno State, the logical choice.
With Moore instead of Grubb, Bama's coaching staff under KDB will continue to be elite. And as a bonus, we may get an OC now who stays longer than just one season.

I meant as a head coach, dude.

DeBoer I don’t believe he ever coached a meaningful game without Grubb as his OC.

So... it's Kirby Moore or bust then.

We will certainly find out soon where the loyalty of the other coaches lay.
DeBoer or Grubb. Who will go?
More importantly I hope they were honest with the recruits and players or may see more leave in the next portal. Especially if a couple position coaches join Grubb.

Waited until the 30 day window closed to make it official, I'm not mad at it

Regardless, I trust DeBoer. He's shown in the short time he's been here at Alabama that he knows what he's doing.

How much hiring power would Grubb have in Seattle if he wanted to poach coaches already hired at BAMA, I wonder.

Agreed, but it would suck to get turned down by Moore.

He could bring anyone he wants from Bama that wanted to go. Most of the coaches probably still have their home in the Seattle area.

So the Seahawks just give him full authority to hire as many assistants as he likes? I doubt that. He isn't the head coach.
Good luck coaching Geno Smith, too coach.

Allegedly Huff is following him. Hope that’s all, but who fricking knows nowadays? Not too worried about it all. We can probably just shuffle some guys around and be no worse for the wear. Gotta nail the OL hire if Huff is gone though.
