I don’t think it should be in Jacksonville every year. Maybe do one year at Mercedes Benz stadium and the next year do it at Everbank stadium.

Why is an Ole Miss fan thinking about this on a random off season Thursday?

Domed stadiums for college football? That shouldn't be allowed, ever.

If Florida & Georgia fans like it, what exactly is the problem? Same for Texas & Oklahoma.. All 4 teams & fans love their neutral site games..

Either way, it literally has no impact whatsoever on you, your school, or your fans. That being said, I'm sure Georgia & Florida fans will sleep better tonight knowing that they aren't the dumbest motherfrickers in the room.. that would be you..

As a UGA fan of 51 years I about half arse agree...Kirby has a point about it being a slight hindurance in recruiting. There are also some scheduling problems having one less opportunity to go home and home with someone else.

As a rabid DAWG fan fully capable of barking in an old ladies face, snatching Auburn hats off the heads of Auburn fans, pissing in a balloon in the stands with nary a soul seeing me do so and then chunking said balloon several sections away so as to hit a visiting fan I say keep in Jacksonville - the Bull Reds stack off in the passes and off the beach in October...

There are more people in the end zones at that game than fills a sold out Vaught Hemingway Stadium.

How about an IDEAL “neutral” site like Shreveport?

Why Shreveport you may ask?

Besides the normal glitz, glamor, and excitement that usually immediately comes to mind when you think of Shreveport?….there’s plenty more in store:

- Marginal blue-collar, low rent Casinos!!

- MUCH less marginal “strip-joints /titty-bars/gentleman’s clubs” !!

- When the wind blows in just the RIGHT direction…it really doesn’t smell that bad.

- TWO Cracker Barrel’s !!

(And?…if the rumors are true?)….

…potentially?

- A conveniently located interstate exit ramp accessible Buckee’s !!

If Jacksonville has lost its luster??

Shreveport is PERFECTLY positioned to meet & exceed all of the amenities & destination expectations that a “neutral site” could deliver for all die hard Gator & Bulldog fans alike!!!

I don’t know how those programs feel about that deal, but I know I’m sick of the aggie game being played at Jerry world every year. It was pretty cool when it was a non conference game but conference games should be home and home, imo.

Leave it as is. This is a great tradition in Southern football.

And I think the Egg Bowl should be played in a neutral state. Maybe a high school stadium in Kenner, Louisiana.

See how much sense it makes for a neutral fan to have a say in where a game is played?

Why not just Home and home? The home stadiums hold 20K more seats than their respective pro stadiums.

This is a great tradition that goes back over 100 years...why in the HELL would we want to change that?

First WLCP was 1915. Prior to 1993, they played in (besides Jacksonville): Macon (once), Tampa (once), Savannah (twice), Athens (four times), Gainesville (once).

Since 1933 they have played in Jacksonville except for:
1994 - Gainesville
1995 - Athens

It is shortsighted to throw out the traditions that make the SEC what it was and is...the WLCP is one of those traditions.
