When I lived in Austin, I was watching football at a sports bar downtown. Texas was playing USC, and a table full of UT frat boys sang a song that included "frick Oklahoma" or something like that in the middle of a close game that did not include OU. You guys don't have much room to talk.

The fight song also references aggy. Aggy and OU are our rivals.

Kansas and OSU doing horns down at a game we're not playing in is akin to us doing the gun holstering thing we do when we play tech.... but doing it at a basketball game against Baylor. It makes no fricking sense. I've seen horns down in the weirdest fricking places from teams we don't even play.

Aggy, Arkansas and OU doing horns down all the time? Sure, makes sense. Everyone else? That's living rent free.

Okie lite is the biggest bandwagon fan base in CFB. The USC game was playing in a bar during Bedlam this year and all the pokes joined in with us Sooners cheering for USC’s loss. They will stop at nothing to fit in, despite not having a respected enough program where their HC would leave and take the entire roster with him from one blue blood to another. I don’t even think 8&4 is that desperate to be included and that’s saying something.

All this to say, I’ll take as much horns down as possible, no hate for tx is ever enough in my book. But in the whorns’ case, at least they have “been there” before and are a respected program. That’s why it’s so nice to beat those rich assholes down in Dallas - no better feeling ever!
