Not surprising if true. He’s been different since his health issues. He had a great career.

Chris has been great in his absence.

Health is the number one priority.

I wish him well if this is true. He has been one of the greats.

It's probably time. Eli was great but has fallen off in recent yrs. Also he has had some serious health issues.

Eli Gold said he doesn't have the energy to call Bama football games anymore if they're just gonna be average.

Damn. Everybody is fleeing.

Honestly though, I hear he's a super nice guy. I just always found his voice annoying.

Honestly, I'd believe it.

His radio calls made a 3rd straight Darby up the middle sound like 2nd and 26 for a NC.

I guess when you have lost 11 of 13 his voice might be
annoying.

It is probably time. One of the best to ever do it though. I hope his health continues to improve.

Wish him all the best in retirement

I know this is blasphemy but I acbtually think he was better at NASCAR than football.

Guy has an all-time voice either way, gonna miss hearing “Touchdown ALA BA MA!” on radio replays after the games.

It needs to happen. Chris Stewart proved more than capable in his absence. Stewart has done basketball and baseball for 20+ years. It’s time.
