The funniest part of this is that the timing of it allowed BYU to demonstrate their grandiose sense of self importance.

With the UCF incident just occurring it allowed BYU to virtue signal about "who they are".

Yes, we're BYU... we don't do terrible things like have games on Sunday...drink coffee... have pre marital sex... or even cuss. Much less do something like a public display of "horns down"... That's what heathen secular students do. Not us. We are BYU.
