One cool thing about the Tombigbee River is that it's part of the Great Loop. You can navigate through part of it in a small craft from Mobile Bay all the way up to Chicago and over to the Eastern seaboard and through Caloosahatchee River in Florida to the Gulf, back to Mobile Bay.

Got a cabin on the Tombigbee in Greene County, AL. We see boats from all over pass by doing the Great Loop. It's pretty cool to see where some of them are coming from

Grew up across the river in Sumter County where my mom was from and my dad was from Greene County. I frequently take Highway 11 instead of traveling the interstate and consider myself home when I see the White Bluffs at Epes.
