Cool Cahaba River facts.
Longest free flowing river in Alabama. No Dams.
Not true. There are at least two dams. One at 280 and another close to Caldwell Mill.

Maybe I should have said no major dams. The 280 for Bham drinking water sure. Not sure the other one at Caldwell mIll still exists.
I’ve always stayed south of Centreville.
It’s still 154 miles of free flowing river out of a total of like 194. I’ll take that. All I know is that I can launch a kayak in Perry County and not see another soul on this entire stretch.
