A loss is a loss. There is no defending it, they lost. I'm just pointing out there is a difference between losing 21-14 and getting Curb-Stomped 31-10. Now the barn could have certainly won the NM St game had they not been preparing for Bama that week.

I am willing to bet I know more about Alabama football than you do. Compare the rosters of the two. Losing in both cases is embarrassing but the reasons for losing are obvious. black and white. Auburn did not even have the talent to strike back in anger against NMST. Meanwhile Shula was doing okay at roster management. Despite how bad it was he nearly nabbed Tebow for crying out loud. Bama had a higher baseline in talent. Auburn didnt. Auburn should be able to beat 2* players on vanilla but they couldn't even muster the strength to push back.

Alabama had these quality players on their rosters
Simeon Castille
Rashad Johnson
Rolando McLain
Brandon Deadrick
Wallace GilBerry
Kareem Jackson
Andre Smith
DJ Hall
Matt Caddell
Javier Arenas
and so on.

Who did Auburn have as their stud impact players this year? DJ Hall is probably Saban's worst number one receiver but he was a 1000 yard receiver then. Auburn has never experienced that. I am not even sure we had a Caddell this year.
