Back in the late 80s, I shed a tear after an Alabama sports loss and decided that would never happen again.
Same for me but the 2005 OT Loss against LSU. I’m heart broken and these dudes were high-fiving each other and laughing

I hammered you for a lot of your meltdowns but I’m willing to give you a like and the benefit of the doubt. It’s going to be OK.

Having doubts is normal. My only point was let’s give these guys a chance and see what they can do. Negativity from fans only can discourage players and coaches. I don’t know if it will work out or not and a lot of that won’t even depend on the coaches. One of the big adjustment fans are going to have to make is NIL is huge now. It’s not about being a great recruiter any more. Kids were willing to take less to play for NS. He’s gone now so can Alabama be competitive in NiL with big universities, I doubt it. Hopefully he can coach up deficiencies when we’re are at a size disadvantage or don’t have elite WR play. Only time will tell but I’ll say this the coaches we would have wanted like Sarkesian and Kiffin are spending an arse load of money on kids so those kids aren’t just lining up to play for them at a discounted rate either.

You are going to have to be a little more mentally tough if you’re going to be an Alabama fan for the next few years.
Gone are the days of a guaranteed top 5 recruiting class and gone are the days of guaranteed 9-10 wins.
We could have been heading that way even with Saban.
You can’t just freak out and start shite posting at the first sign of adversity.

For me, it was a basketball game of all things...
Bama v. Loyola in the Sweet 16.
Lost at the last second. We did everything right, but couldn't come out with the W against a team that was heavily favored and a national favorite (due to the sad death of Hank Gathers earlier in the year).
Man, I wanted to see the team win that game and go to the Elite 8 for the first time.

2008 SEC Championship. I was 14 and convinced we had just blown the one chance to win a championship in my lifetime

To be fair... there was nothing that occurred in the previous 13 years that led me to believe it was possible.
It's weird looking back now, but to me growing up, USC and Florida were these unbeatable giants. It's crazy how abuptly things changed with Saban

Not doubt, I had a over a half-dozen years on you when that season happened and really could not have imagined where we were heading. I just knew that 2008 was the start not the ending because it felt different than any other good season I'd experienced with Shula, Franchoine, or Dubose. Mostly because all those good seasons were at some rough "roster maximum" of experienced guys. The 2008 team's best talent was Sophomores and Freshmen.

I suggest a relaxing hobby, perhaps scrapbooking or gardening.

Are you going to run back to tRant and complain about Bama fans to coonasses, Vols, and aubies again because this thread is getting downvoted to oblivion?
