Not a melt. I don’t want him fired. Just pointing out he’s on pace to have a losing conference play record two seasons in a row and three out of five total. Does this bother anybody?

No only because of postseason play.

Yes because the talent has been there to do better.

No because of tourney success.

Losing winnable games at home has been more concerning than SEC records.

Not concerned. Just another sport where we have too many people telling the coaches and players that they’re really good and doing great when they aren’t. Until a higher standard of play is demanded, which it never will be here, it’s unlikely that anything will move the compass needle. That’s why it’s just not worth watching and torturing one’s self trying to figure out “why Arkansas can never do better with what they have?”.

Hopefully this year enough of the good SEC teams will be comfortably in so that they take the conference tourney easy.

Then the light switch goes on for this team, we win the conference tourney, and return to the sweet 16.

There’s still a chance.

I also think the SEC has elevated their game during his time here. I mean, freaking Alabama has been a good team. Ole Miss was a door mat last year and good this year. The gap between the rest and Kentucky is much less.
