With Florida St and Florida being hit with NIL issues and Saban retiring all of a sudden I think there was a bargaining agreement.

Just doesn’t make sense that Saban would duck out so quickly and now he’s nowhere to be seen

Puff puff pass bro, I'm with you though about Saban's abrupt retirement, weird to me if I'm being honest.

Either that or he sniffed around tRant and saw his teams “fans” calling for his head in a year that he won the SEC and made the playoffs.

Saban retired because “ima get mines” became the norm and he wasn’t gonna spend the last bit of his career putting up with that shite, IMO.

Good for him.

Nope. I think it has more to do with too big of a transition in CFB. The NIL, transfer portal, ect.. Saban is already tGOAT. I don’t think he wanted to deal with that big of a transition in the sport at his age. And I don’t blame him.

He’s 72 years old, he’s lost a step or two. Let the younger dudes deal with that crap.

Saban knew what he was doing. Anybody who cares knows how much he hated Alabama and its fans. This was a huge middle finger to the state, the school, and the people.

I don’t blame him a bit, I was going to work at least 2 more years but circumstances arose that allowed me to leave earlier. I took it in a heartbeat, left that day and never looked back or missed it. I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders.

I hope he feels the same way, he has earned it and deserves it. I respect a hard worker and he is definitely one.

Things look different with age.

Well, he was the most unethical, underhanded, cheating bastard that the game ever saw.

Paid massive sums and handed out new cars like candy long before NIL.

Would sacrifice a player's health in a heartbeat to win a game.

Paid off officials.

Yes, I could see the NCAA sniffing around now that his butt buddy Emmert retired.

Many on here thought Texas A&M will be punished for NIL violation(s).
