If/When they get to 9 conference games they need to adopt the flex scheduling model of the Big Ten.

Oklahoma doesn't need 3 permanents, as an outsider S.Car doesn't appear to either.

If they're gonna stick at 8 conference games then I don't understand why pods have been eliminated- it's a much improved model from your last one and solves bulk of rivalry issues.

How does the flex work? If you have less than 3, you just rotate the rest? I could see the benefit there.

3 + 4 + 1? That would be better than 1/7, I agree.

I think they should have just kept divisions at 8 games or gone to a 2/6 or 3/5. The 3/5 actually works really good imo, but none of the 8 game models are perfect.

1 - How does the flex scheduling work? My personal wish is that ALL teams play the same # of opponents & finish the rotation at the same time.

2 - The only issues I know with pods is:
A - Their breakdown
B - Keeping ALL YEARLY rivalries between teams not in the same pod.
