Yea there’s not gonna be a year three if CKD can’t finish in the top 12 in either of his first two years. 8-4, 9-3 gets coaches fired at Alabama. He inherited the top program in the country. This is not a rebuilding job and if it turns into one that means we hired the wrong coach.

31 players to date leaving and key starters says it is a rebuilding year.

That's 2010s logic, as it sure feels like one under the new rules.

Do you actually think, on the evening of Jan. 17, 2024, we have without any shadow of a doubt the top program in the country?

I’m not slitting my wrists over anything, and I have full confidence in the new staff but we are in the middle of a weeklong cataclysm. You put those kinds of expectations on DeBoer until we get this vehicle running straight between the lines and it’s going to confirm every caricature people have about our fanbase.

Did you just drop down from Mars and land on your head?

We’re in the midst of an almost complete overhaul of the program minus some key missing pieces, and the task of learning new O and D systems. This year and probably a good portion of next year will be a rebuilding process.
