People need to understand those days from a player perspective are dead and gone. Fans have emotional ties to a university for various reasons. I’m a fan because my father was from Alabama and it’s how I was raised and I love spending a few hours on Saturday watching the game with him and my son but that’s an emotional connection to Alabama football. Most of these kids that aren’t from the state of Alabama don’t care about Alabama. Bama doesn’t have any of the national titles since Sabans arrival without kids from all over the country.
