But, a solid coach is assembling a very good staff.

I bet Saban wishes half his roster would have transferred in 2007. He had to raze everything instead.

There is goodness in playing with those who want to be somewhere and feel a part of it

Bama likely takes their lumps in 2024, but the right culture (albeit different than Saban) is in place to do good things and set conditions for a new era.

Different isn't always bad. It's just different. It could happen sooner, but I'd bet this staff makes a consistent CFP run by year 3.

It's a new age. Kids are getting a chance to be millionaires before they ever graduate. Hard to blame them. I recall those ramen noodles and miller lite nights.

There might be a lot of positive in being rid of both fans and players who were only attracted to the brand, rather than any real loyalty to the team or university.

Hoping for 8-4 and a good win over a rival. Praying for some good bounces to do better than that...

Yea there’s not gonna be a year three if CKD can’t finish in the top 12 in either of his first two years. 8-4, 9-3 gets coaches fired at Alabama. He inherited the top program in the country. This is not a rebuilding job and if it turns into one that means we hired the wrong coach.

I don’t see it that way at all. This team is way more talented right now than his Washington teams…we’ll lose some more guys most likely but this will still be a talented roster. Just not the depth we’re used to.

If DeBeor is as good as we all think he is then I believe we’re going to piss the CFB world off next year when they see we’re still good…that’s if CKD is what his overall record says he is.

Saban was the greatest CEO and recruiter of all time…but the X’s and O’s/development part of our program got stale. I think DeBeor and his guys are rockstars when it comes to actual coaching.

The real decline will be over time and that’s if DeBeor can’t recruit like he needs to recruit. Not saying that’s the case but I’m saying if we completely fall off it’ll be over time. Not immediately.

I actually don't believe that it hurts. I think that we make the playoff.

CKD's offense with the players we have on our roster gets me jacked to the tits. This dude has turned every program he's been at around in the first year basically. He doesn't have to turn anything around here. He has players good enough to win already.

One thing that keeps getting mentioned is DeBoer’s recruiting or lack thereof. It’s a concern but consider that his track record shows he wins early. He wins with what is on hand when he takes the helm. Youth will be this season’s struggle. And fan’s impatience.

Considering what a shite storm it’s been, 9-3 would be a solid first year for Deboer. We gotta be patient.
