Totally agree with you there, but those are destination jobs. What I’m saying is, if DeBoer is having this much tough luck out of the gate at somewhere like Alabama, it’s going to start happening everywhere, and most of these programs don’t have the NIL budget to keep up. I’m concerned the “stepping stone” jobs are going to become dead end jobs for coaches. Zach Arnett lost 20 guys to the portal after Leach passed away, and we saw the product State put out there this year.

Well, BAMA just added two FBS G5 Head Coaches to the defensive staff, so we’re already there if you are just looking at job titles.

And he did himself no favors when he instantly fired the entire offensive staff and decided to switch from an Air Raid to a pro style offense. They literally had no tight ends on the roster and had a QB that had never taken a snap under center. I get you want to have your own program...but damn some guys are just too stubborn.
