Have to no, but probably will based on who is available. I mean they may go after Brian Kelly but he is not an upgrade over Harbaugh and he just signed a new massive contract I thought. His buy out may be more than they want to take on. Likely they hire from within hoping to retain talent.

My guess is that Harbaugh is doing exactly what is suggested in the OP. Michigan is toast if Harbaugh leaves and they don't have somebody like Kelly lined up.

Now, if Harbaugh is waiting so that classes begin, so guys can't transfer, AND they pull Kelly, then that would have been very well-coordinated and they would've really shown college football how it's done. And it would put lsu in a terrible spot, which wouldn't suck.
