Yeah, locking them into UA and hiring a subpar coach is the right way... any coach worth their salt would have signed contract extensions / been unavailable if he waited too much longer. And having a bunch of 'trapped' and pissed off kids would not bode well for the spring portal...

What about giving Saban and folks 3 or so days to get with the core of the team and coming up with a plan and attempting to make them comfortable and incentivize them to help keep the team together and message positive and strong?
