I bet if he’d been able to win bowl games, he’d still have been at Auburn today. Auburn would have a hard time firing a coach that averaged 9 win seasons with consistency. At least the aggravation from the fan base would’ve lessened for a few more years.

Possibly.
After he was fired and reading how he refused to try and learn anything new in the offseason, I’m still certain it was past time to let him go.
