I think it’s more that he just doesn’t respect Freeze as a coach. It’s the same thing he did with Jimbo. You notice that he doesn’t do that with coaches he likes/respects. He has done that a lot with Lebby too (they parted poorly). Can this all backfire on him? Absolutely. But it’s also just his personality. Personally, I think it’s great/funny. I mean it’s just a game, don’t take everything these guys do do seriously.
