I'm really more of the type that broadly agrees with the left critique of capitalism but not confident in their alternative programs. One thing a lot of dumber lefties misunderstand about Marx is that he firmly believed the capital system was a necessary precondition for any future system that was more humane and sustainable. He wasn't anti-capitalist per se but only anti-capitalist as a final destination of civilization. I'm not anti-capitalist but I am critical of it.

I don't think there is any accident that as capital has deepened its roots in college athletics that it has become less enjoyable for many.
