Will the SEC fall apart without Saban?

Saban got out while the gettin' was good. 12-team playoff and the emergence of the B1G. Maybe Kirby can hold it together. He is the only one down south who still plays defense.

The SEC was great before Saban and will be after Saban.

All 16 SEC Teams are in the the top 40 of recruiting. They aren't going anywhere

That and adding the metastatic mass of Texas will hopefully do it

The big has won 3 titles since the inception of the bcs/cfp. Counting OK and Tx, the sec has won 17.
The SEC will be just fine!

Considering 4 other SEC teams have won natties during Saban’s time, I’m going to say no.

Just wait until the logistical nightmares of your incongruent geographical footprint manifest themselves. You're going to have far more problems than pulling out your measuring stick to see if you can stack up against the SEC in football. It's going to be fun to watch.

Claiming the B1G plays defense doesn't mean they play defense.
It's simply a reflection of their offenses sucking donkey balls.

Cmon buckle, you know nothing’s gonna change

I think you're asking the wrong question. Will the Big Ten+ fall apart with its nation-wide footprint, travel and fan difficulties, unnatural rivalries and other complications?
The footprint of the SEC is still contiguous and all of the schools have some history. The SEC has had many dynasties over the years. Obviously, Bryant and Saban. But Tenn. had General Neyland; Ole Miss had Johnny Vaught; Florida had Steve Spurrier; Arkansas had Frank Broyles; Texas had Darrell Royal (even though that wasn't as SEC); Auburn had Shug Jordan; not trying to leave anyone out, but the SEC will continue to be the toughest and most successful league in all the sports that aren't frozen.

Alabama, Florida, LSU, UGA, Auburn (not counting Texas and OU) have won the natty since 2000. Did I miss anyone? Tennessee had one in the 90s.
Ohio State and Michigan (not counting USC) have won the natty since 2000. Did I miss anyone here?
I think the SEC might be okay. When Harbaw leaves, the B1G might be the one falling apart.

Ohio State will be returning a lot and adding a lot. The players and staff are determined to win the B1G and get a bye in the playpffs.

I don't know but OSU has certainly fallen apart with Ryan Day.

Be honest, did that sound good in your head before you typed it?

Nope!!
The SEC(Tennessee) won the very first BCS national Championship. I believe Saban was 6-6 at Michigan State when Tennessee started the run for the SEC in the BCS/CFP era of National Titles.

Our best team in Georgia choked this year, but Michigan did look better than the other 3 teams in the playoff, I’ll grant you that.
We’re still a work in progress, and other SEC programs are in the same boat as us, but Georgia is a monster with Kirby at the helm.
By the way, I call you buckle based on that exchange we had a couple of weeks ago. Unlike most folks here, I like you posting on this site.
