A lot of people saying Bama made a poor hire. CBK is the most well known coach after Kirby. Maybe Bama should have made a run at him.

Kelly:
6-20 vs Top 10 teams
34-34 vs Top 25 teams
0 NY6 bowl wins in 21 years as an FBS coach
1 CFP appearance (0-1)

DeBoner:
104-12 career record
Seven 11 win seasons in 9 years
Conf champ in year 2
1 CFP appearance (year 2, 1-1)

Seems like LSU desperately wants someone to get them out of that contract

Interesting how you chose different data categories to compare them.

We hired a coach who has a playoff win. That’s better than a coach who is winless in the playoffs.

Should Kelly have won a playoff game yet?

Let's look at facts, Boudreaux ...

Kelly seemed to have done decently until he came to LSU ...

20-7 record in the SEC. That's not bad for teams like Auburn or Tennessee but LSWho?

We can look at DeBoer and see he has clearly done much better against top 10/25 teams than Kelly has done.

I mean anyone can make stats look however they like. If anything, LSGoo is regressing back to their standards.

Kelly took ND and LSU from mediocrity and turned them back into contenders.

DeBoer is about to take Bama from contenders back to mediocrity.

Nay Nay I say!!!! Look I know a lot of people on here are knocking the Deboer hire and that’s fine because Coach Deboer will get a chance to prove himself next season.

What I don’t understand is how some LSU fans are knocking on Deboer so hard but when you put both his and BK career records side by side and compare you see that both coaches took a very similar path to get where they are today. The big difference is Deboer has a lot more hardware in his trophy case than BK does. So I don’t understand why some are banging on Deboer for being a bad hire and then praise BK for being a great coach. It doesn’t compute considering Deboer has something right now BK does not and that is a conference championship and a trip to the CFP title game.
