Agreed there. I don’t know who it is but I would prefer an experienced DC with recruiters around him

I want a 3-4 coordinator, not a 4-3. Our personnel fit a 3-4 and the 3-3-5 is just far more flexible than a 4-2-5

Morell is the guy that's been with DeBoer for a long time

Retaining Freddie Roach at DL and adding DJ Durkin at LB makes me think we might be leaning to keeping the 3-4 band together

I still trying to understand the appeal OF Durkin. Like I don't think Ole Miss or TAMU has had great linebacker play under him. He doesn't seem to be a high level recruiter. He had Bostic in his Florida days. Some good D ends. What am I missing about him?

In his press conf DeBoer said he wanted his OC/DC to be engeged in the coversation of who their staff would be. If the decision has been made to keep Roach, it suggests that the DC choice and conversation has been made?

You are right that would have been Durkin. And he is excellent.

He's one of those coaches who had some success while still extremely young and has ridden the "rising star" label to continued employment despite having an enormous amount of baggage. Happens more in the NFL than college, but that's the only sense I can make of a guy like that getting so many high level job opportunities.
