What would you expect from a fan base coming off of a repeat national championship? Are we supposed to be doom and gloom? We had just won two in a row and three looked like a very reasonable option. We lost one game. It’s not like we lost two plus like Clemson does. We didn’t stumble down like 2020 LSU. We still have a top 2 roster in the nation and a two time national champion coach. Why would we or any other fan base in that situation feel differently?

Edit: and Saban had been a head coach at multiple stops and didn’t have to go through one of the best coaches of all time. Just saying

And you should not but my point is we do not know what will happen next year or after. Will Kirby still have UGA as the best team in the country for years to come or will the program start to show vulnerability like Clemson did or as Alabama has at times over the last 6 years? This was a down year for the SEC so navigating it, especially with UGAs schedule, was not unexpected for going 12-0 but again the measure of a dynasty is long term sustainability and UGA is not close to that yet. Maybe it just started but who knows.

Kirby so far has been the only one that has demonstrated he can come close to creating a winning culture like what Saban did with getting players to buy in. He arse a top program with the resources needed to sustain and a state rich in talent while being in the top conference. Something Clemson can not match. He also shown the same type of intensity to do it but now it is the mental desire to keep it going that breaks many coaches. The one thing that allowed Saban to do what he did for 17 years.

Kirby has youth on his side and the greatest mentor of all time that should him the blueprint.

You didn’t have a gov orchestrated pandemic affect your roster, season, and future a season after going 15-0 either.

Don’t compare the two scenarios. LSU had 1st rounders sitting out the season.
