Some of you UGA fans crack me up. You assume Kirby can sustain on the field. We heard the same from Clemson fans that Dabo could sustain like Saban. Dabo was is in a easier conference and yet could not do it. UGA has a harder schedule moving forward.

And before so many chime in remember you lost to Saban's worst team at Alabama since 2007. Can UGA continue to compete for a NC each year yes but they could just as easy not be as dominant either. Luckily Kirby should have them in playoffs moving forward but what seed we will see.

Dabo won with two generational qbs. He’s done jackshit without them. I think Kirby will be okay and deep down, you know it too.

Most of what you said is correct. But Dabo's success came primarily from his coordinators. When they left he sunk. Maybe Kirby will sustain and maybe he won't. That is to be seen.

Wait. Do injuries count or do they not? They counted in 2021 but they don't in 2023?

I mean it's possible we won't compete, but a key to Saban's success was the talent on his roster. As long as Kirby can accumulate talent I think we will see big success.
That can change quick, though as Alabama is finding out now. If we have enough players leave for more early playing time, NIL or anything else, then yes. We could struggle.
But I wouldn't count on that being any time soon. Kirby is still young and has more energy than Saban did the last couple of years. Like I said. Only time will tell. You are correct, though. With the addition of Oklahoma and Texas the SEC just got tougher. Texas seems to be grabbing an awful lot of talent and their pockets are deep.
