re: Caleb Downs likely portals?

Fair enough. Not trying to convince you. These things tend to be very fluid - just like recruiting. Dawgs flipped KJ on signing day, lost Raiola, got the UNLV QB in portal and he flipped to USC 12 hours later. I would hate to have to be in the prediction game for my livelihood.

I will leave you with a few thoughts on this topic though:

- Kirby is relentless
- Kirby recruited & then lost KJ back in August (to FSU verbal commit) after recruiting him for 4 yrs and 20 visits to campus - circled back and flipped him
- UGA is the pre imminent college football defense with the best defensive coaches (it’s not close)
- UGA just landed Caleb Downs primary recruiter and best Coach relationship in T-Rob
- UGA will be extremely aggressive in NIL
- Kirby was an all SEC safety and primarily a defensive coach
- home for Caleb in Gwinnett Co is 45 minutes from Athens
- Caleb’s girlfriend is in Athens
- UGA is Caleb’s best chance for Natty
- UGA is best chance to be developed and go high in draft (don’t at me with Bama defensive draft stats - Saban gone)
- Bama brought in an offensive coach with no track record in SEC and south.

It just makes too much sense…sooooo it probably won’t happen :)
