His presence will still be felt.

Yeah. because all the players will be looking to Saban and not DeBoer.

If you mean some of his legacy will affect the team? Yeah, a little bit. But if Alabama loses a game or two the fans will begin to talk and the players will begin to doubt.

He isn't coaching but he has a office in the stadium so don't think his presence won't be felt during GameDay

An office in the stadium? That's all it takes? An office? Maybe Alabama should have given Bear Bryant an office in the stadium if that's all it takes. All of the players can look up at the office and become inspired.

Look. I am one that happens to think DeBoer will turn out to be a pretty good hire.

That said, the assistant coaching staff will not be as good. You are bleeding players, so your roster will not be as good. The head coach will not be as good.

Alabama barely made the playoffs this past year when better at all of these areas. Where do you think Alabama will be improved at?

That is the one question Alabama fans need to answer. In what area will we be improved? And in which areas are we probably going to be worse?

Coaching?
Roster?
Game day prep?
Will DeBoer receive the support Saban did?
What will likely happen the first time we get hit in the mouth?

1. You have lost the GOAT coach
2. You are losing some great players
3. You are losing some great coaches
4. DeBoer is bringing in his defensive staff from a team that finished out of the top 50 in total defense (Alabama was 18th last season)
5. Washington was not top 50 in red zone defense

Your offense might be better if your QB comes on strong and has some WR's to throw to.

Alabama committed fewer penalties per game than Washington.

I mean...we'll see, but it isn't looking great AT THE MOMENT. Maybe things get turned around once he (DeBoer) gets his entire staff set and if the players buy in.
My honest opinion is it will take more than Saban having an office in the stadium to win games, though. If Alabama keeps rolling (And you might) it won't be because Saban has an office in the stadium.

Well offense will be better first of all. We have a offense minded coach and a good portion of our offensive starters are still on campus so the bleeding players dry statement you made is somewhat disingenuous.

That's quite an exaggeration as well. Our current staff under Saban wasn't the best if we are being honest and a majority of the coaches KD is bringing has coached with him for years. I think our supporting staff would be quite an upgrade over what he had especially offensively. Defensive wise remains to be seen.

Good thing he is going to a school with significantly more talent than he had at Washington
