Dear God I hope Kiffin leaves Ole Piss for Bama. The meltdown would be a thing of beauty. All this hype for next year, and it would be over in a blink.

Sorry LSU fans, rivalry application denied. You had your chance. Good luck with A&M. But I enjoy the fear.

Even if it’s Lanning, Oregon is going to come calling for Lane.

I don't see Lane leaving the SEC. I think he likes the action here.

“What could you possibly do right if you don’t win the national championship every year?” Kiffin said. “‘You’re going to follow Nick Saban at Alabama?’ No, that would not be a good decision for anyone.”

“I followed two Hall of Fame coaches in Phillip Fulmer and Pete Carroll. Not smart. So, you see how USC ended. (Replacing Saban) would be the dumbest follow ever.”

Yeah. Ole Piss is at best a stepping stone job to a real position.

No one stays there.

the domino effect

I'm not all that interested in what happens to Kiffin, per se, but the domino effect is going to be very interesting to watch.

You know Alabama is getting a sitting P5 head coach, likely a big name at a blueblood or at least a current contender. Depending on who they hire, the dominoes could reach quite far.

However, if they did hire Kiffin, that may be the only real domino as Ole Miss doesn't have the brand to pull anyone of consequence to replace him. Then it goes down to a low level P5 head coach, a P5 assistant, or a sitting G5 HC. That's really the best case scenario for everyone not named Ole Miss.

What would REALLY be interesting would be if we could see everyone who applied for the Bama job. We would probably all see our coach's name on the list.

How many times are we gonna have this thread? While it may suck to have to deal with these rumors every year at least teams want our coach. Who’s trying to steal Kelly away?

Somebody needs to ask Google to define melt. Not wanting our successful coach to leave does not equal a melt. Are we supposed to be excited or something? You must be retarded.

Have you met the average LSU fan? They are State and Bama fans rolled into 1 and add in a crown drinking problem.

Kelly has done nothing. Every LSU coach since Saban has won a natty. Kelly isn't even coming close. I hope he stays forever. But LSU fans love him for some reason. No idea why.
