I wouldn’t want Rees, and I don’t think we hire him either. At this point, I’m thinking it’s DeBoer. Still, you can only hire who will take the job. And it’s a great job, and I’ve always felt the whole “who wants to follow Saban” thing gets overblown, but maybe it’s a reality.

I don’t think that means you punt on the hire, but if none of the big hitters want it, it’s not like we can force them to take it. Could Rees keep the roster together, since he’s supposedly well liked by them? Maybe, and I don’t think the results would be great, but if no one wants to follow Saban then that’s just how it is.

My dream is Sark. I know that seems like there’s no way, but man that’s what I want. If not him, and Lanning has already said no, DeBoer is my next choice. We can talk about the fit and never being in the south, but you know what does fit? Winning, and he’s won everywhere he has been.

If DeBoer is a no then give me Kiffin. I assume he wants it, and he’s a good coach. His “antics” may annoy old fellas, but who cares? Then if you can’t get Kiffin, give me Norvell. And finally, if you can’t get Norvell, see if Dabo wants to come I guess. I’m not really big on Dabo these days, but maybe he could at least hold the roster together and stabilize things.

Once you get beyond that, though, the possible names are all a crapshoot anyway.
