Players, former players, coaches, executives, insiders all.are lauding this hire.
The only reason fans like Dawgdayafternoon and others are up in their feelings is b/c it's not sexy.
Just win, baby. That's all that matters in the end.
No, it's not the only reason. I hope Raheem is successful, but just because he's a swell guy, players like him and his ex-employer gushes over him doesn't mean he's transformed himself into a guy who can compete for Super Bowls. Praise and love from the NFL echo chamber has been heaped on tons of guys who are well liked but aren't good at their jobs for time and memorial.
Hope it works out. Willing to ignore the Tampa era 15 years ago as youthful inexperience and hope he's grown and is more ready now. Bringing Robinson with him would be a nice start.

Raiders, Carolina, and Washington to name a.few are a hell of a lot worse.
Washington has moved out of that group, I think. Could probably throw Arizona in there, though.

Raheem Morris seems like a terrible hire, which is just why it might work.

I left out the Jets.

I’m out.
I’ve been out for years in terms of caring. I follow and if they do well, good. But we watch Red Zone because I don’t care enough about this shite organization to watch.

They fired Smith for Raheem Morris? I checked out so long ago I don’t even care. Maybe we can draft another shitty QB from a group of five school in the first round, that would be cool.

You and others saying you are done or out will be right back pulling for them if they win.
Winning is all that matters.

I'm just gonna say this then I'll leave it be, but this hire has Dan Campbell vibes.

Sources: The #Falcons are hiring #Rams pass-game coordinator Zac Robinson as their new OC under Raheem Morris. One of the most popular interviews on the OC circuit, Robinson was Morris’ top choice.
A really good start. A Shanahan/McVay tree hire.

Explain.
It goes to my apathy about this org. and not the choice.
I’m not a follower of assistant coaches and the tree they come from. There are as many branches that end up as firewood as those that thrive.
And unless they get a QB, it won’t matter who they have.
To me, you’d have to be desperate for a position to come here.

I think you're gonna be very pleased on this one, bud. The Falcons are finally gonna run a modern offense. WCO is coming to Atlanta.
FWIW, he's the guy I wanted the Steelers to get. So I'm mad that we didn't land him but happy for you guys. The Steelers were gonna bring him in to interview before Morris got him. He had already interviewed w/the Saints, Patriots and Bears and the Steelers, Saints and Raiders were lined up to interview him so he's very highly thought of.
We'll definitely see though. Look for Baker Mayfield to possibly come here since him and Robinson worked together in LA and they both think highly of one another. And I'd be okay w/that. I'd still draft a QB, though.
Also, the McVay/Shanny tree has produced a lot of fruit. Very little if any tinder.

If it sucks I will hunt you down for getting my hopes up even a little bit. Haha!
Baker here would be fine with me too.

I hated the Raheen hire when it was announced.
After absorbing it for a few days, I think it could work.
Time will tell.
