Same thing that happened to LSU with Denbrock happened to Mizzou with Baker.
Sometimes a coach just wants to be close to home.
I personally thought Baker would hold some animosity due to Kelly not retaining him in 2021 but apparently he didn't.

Kelly has never had an issue hiring former coaches. Denbrock was another coach that left Notre Dame to be Cincinnati’s OC because Kelly wouldn’t promote him and he followed him here from Cincinnati.
