He would be Buchner 2.0. No way he would beat out Milroe, Simpson, and Sayin. But it doesn’t matter, I think it is Miami or bust for him.

Milroe can't hold Taulia's jock strap. Taulia would beat out every QB on the Bama roster. But, he's trying to go to Miami because there are lucrative NIL/endorsement opportunities for him that involve his brother.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I think Saban had eyes for Bryce and assumed Bryce would be better than Taulia. But, I think it's a wash if you seriously compare Bryce and Taulia. Bryce might have received the most hype of any player to play at Bama during the Saban tenure.

How did you watch a few games and conclude he would “be another Buchner?”

Because I do not think he would beat out the current quarterbacks on Alabama’s roster to win the starting job.. So like Buchner, he would transfer in and ride the bench for a year. He did not stand out when he was at Alabama. He transferred out because he was stuck at 3rd string, and with the quarterbacks on the roster and on the horizon he obviously did not think he would beat them out. If he had, he would not have transferred.

All season every season everyone on here trashes the Big 10 for having horrible offenses. So he set passing records there. Wow, impressive.

Taulia had a shot at Alabama. He obviously transferred for a reason. That reason is he didn’t think he would start at Alabama. He has obviously improved. But I still do not see him learning the offense, winning over the team, and being a starter in one season. He would be Buchner 2.0. Or Spencer Sanders 2.0, the Oklahoma State QB that lit up the stat sheet and then transferred to Ole Miss to hold a clipboard. If Taulia is so great, why is he not going into the draft? The NFL always overreaches for quarterbacks. Why are they not overreaching for him? I think he planned to go into the draft and that is why he sat out the bowl. A bowl which Maryland’s offense with their backup QB put up 31 points on Auburn. I think Taulia planned to go into the draft until he got his draft grade and projection. And now he is wanting to transfer.

He was ranked 20th in passing yards this season. Two spots behind T.J. Finley. Six spots behind Brayden Schager at Hawaii. Seven spots behind Gunnar Watson from Troy. Twelve spots behind Cam Ward at Washington State. Behind the quarterbacks from James Madison, App State; Memphis, Georgia Southern, Colorado State, and North Texas. All those guys must be even better than Taulia since they threw for more yards. Or maybe a lot of it is the offensive systems they all play in.

But I will go back to this. If Taulia is so great, why not go into the NFL draft?

He has to be trolling at this point. There is no other explanation.

You are an idiot and need to choke on broken glass. You do not watch the games and haven't followed his career. His splits against ranked opponents is awful. He has never won a big game in his life and is a turnover machine in those games. He cares about his stats and not winning games. He will throw into triple coverage to avoid scampering for a first down.

I think his only ranked win was against NC state in the duke's mayo bowl. Maryland plays at least 3 ranked teams a year and he's been awful when the lights are on.

I haven't watched every game but I've watched enough of Taulia at Maryland to know this is largely true. Some of it is just that Maryland isn't as talented as the big 3 teams in the Big Ten.

Not true, we played michigan to 7 point loses last couple seasons and he had 5 turnovers between the two. We have taken Ohio state to the wire last year and up until the 4th qtr this past season, He fell apart in that game late too, couldn't complete a pass.

Our defense has come up big against much more talented rosters every time, but they leave it out there. He has left them out to dry and force them into short fields. He must lead the league in intentional groundings. We should have been 9-3 this year, but he threw a bad pick six against northwestern and `got baited into 2 picks against michigan.

Ok that’s fair.

Thought you were speaking more in terms of talent.

Taulia would have scored 5 TDs against USF.

Throwing 2 INTs against Michigan doesn’t make Taulia a choke artist of some kind. This Michigan defense is ELITE.

Look who has put up the most points against that defense the last few seasons. It's been maryland and ohio state. Hell Taulia got benched two years ago and our backup led us to a comeback and a 7pt loss. He threw 4 picks and had a fumble returned to the house in those losses. They may be elite to YOU, but we have lined up and played them well recently. 34-27 type games. Its easy for them to score when they start at your own 40 yard from a pick in double coverage.

We hosted #5 Iowa, and he threw 5 picks in that one, we lost 52-7. Trust me, you don't want the taulia train. When he sat out the music city bowl, I knew we had a shot.

One thing that stands out on the stat sheet are his INTs. This year, his final at Maryland as a senior, he threw 25 TDs but 11 interceptions. In his three years as a starter he has averaged 10 interceptions per season. That would not fly with Saban. His rating those three years was 151, 142, and 145. Not horrible but far from elite. For the guy saying that Taulia was as good as Bryce take a gander at this. In three seasons as a starter, Taulia’s best season was 3860 yards. He average 3415 yards, 23 td, 10 int as a three year starter. As a starter, for his career he had 69 TD and 30 INT. All of his seasons were fairly consistent; his best was actually his first year as starter. His highest ever rating was that year at 151.1.

Bryce in two seasons threw for 8200 yards, had 79 TD and 12 INT.. His rating his two years as starter was 167 and 163. His last season it was snap the ball and let Bryce improvise. He was largely wasted that year and still had a better season than Taulia ever sniffed.
