Mizzou sold tickets this season that included beverages and snacks in order to achieve sellouts.

That’s what did it. You caught us. Paying $50 for a ticket that includes free glizzies and soda in the 300 level of the stadium didn’t bring out an extra 10,000 fans.

If you’re the coach being sought as DC, which fan base do you want to coach for?

Having a rabid, bipolar fanbase (even by SEC standards) isn’t always seen as a positive. I know that’s hard to believe since you don’t know anything else.

I lived in Columbia for 7 years, so please don’t try to sell me on the passion of Mizzou fans. They had a great season and I think the fans played a huge part in that, but it was an aberration. I hope they have continued success and it becomes a part of the culture there. When Drink was hired, there were so many people who thought he was beneath them, mainly because they weren’t at all familiar with Appy State. Not a lot of people there that are knowledgeable about college football. What you see as a bipolar fan base is actually a fan base that expects and inspires excellence. LSU football is not just a few months in the fall; it’s a year-round obsession. Mizzou football is limited to great seasons.
