This is too dumb for words. Lol Let’s see…. After the 2019 National Championship game LSU’s DC became the Head Coach at Baylor and the OC got a OC job in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers and is the current OC for the Bills. Being coordinators at LSU was Horrible for their careers. Lol

What head coaching job is Matt House taking?

You know he got fired because his defense sucked, right?

So being an LSU DC isn’t a guarantee at a head coaching job? Got it.

Now image being one year away from a head coaching job.

Two choices. One with a defensive staff you built, who got you in a position to start turning down offers, working for a coach who not only hired you, but gave you that DC job.

The second, leaving for a job offer from the guy who never gave you a chance and fired you. So you have to build your defensive staff and rebuild the personnel from a shitty defense, just to leave for a head coaching job after one year.

Not gonna lie, I was worried he would get poached last year. Hopefully we can keep him, he just got a raise but LSU would probably pay him even more.

Try to keep up. It seems difficult for people from the state that whose average IQ is 5 points below the national average. But try.

Well… Matt House was making $1.9 million a year, so yes, LSU would pay Baker a lot more than his current $1.1 million a year.

If lsu doubles his salary to come home those two things would be tough to bargain against.

Plus he would be taking over a defense so bad it would not be hard to show good if not great improvement. Staying where he is he takes a chance on a falloff of his defensive efficiency thus reflecting negatively on him.

If lsu wants him but is unable to get him that would be huge for mizzou.

LSU can pay him more, sure. But if your goal is to be a head coach after next season, jumping to LSU is adding risk. It is a rebuild job.

And your boss would be the guy who fired you without giving you a chance.

All that or sit tight for one year.

That was his old contract. Not the new one.

Why don’t you try to keep up genius. lol

If you do a good job at LSU, you get top job offers and pay increases. House didn’t do a good job, thus he was fired. Blake Baker is not Matt House. He will do a great job at LSU and the sky is the limit.

Missouri is not even on the same radar screen as LSU is as a program. If LSU wants him or anybody else off the Missouri staff, they’ll get them. Missouri is nothing more than a stepping-stone program and always will be. That’s just the facts.

No it's not.

If he brought Mizzou from 117 to 25 in one off-season, he can bring LSU from 105 to 25, easy, and he'll be on a playoff team.

These LSU dummies think there is fear of losing him.

It’s laughably stupid. Baker is a one year rental at this point. Him staying or leaving has no impact on the future since he already has an expiration date in the very near future.

If he goes to LSU, fine. But if he’s still at LSU in 2025, then he done fricked up and the move hurt his career progress.

LB coach at LSU
DC at Mizzou
DC at LSU

That's progression.
