the portals accommodate 2 1/2 people at a time.

When we were there for the UGA/OU game the thought occurred to me that ganging folks up like cattle heading down a chute seems like a good way for some idiot to or group of people to cause all manner of ill shite. There were probably 35,000 people in line waiting for the shuttle busses back to a train station and the buses showed up 4 at a time and then took about 20 minutes between trips...so they may have carried 400 people every 20 minutes. Had all of those people stayed in that line it would have taken about 30 hours to haul them all away. After about 2 hours most of those people left the line and walked the 2 miles to the nearest train station. During that game the closest Uber or a cab could get before the game was a little over a mile away and after the game it was almost 2 miles. The parking situation is WORSE than that...2 - 3 hours to get back to Pasadena which will be crawling as will the entirety of the area. Walking back to Pasadena (2 miles) and taking the train back to the east took us about 2 hours all told. We left the Parade at 10 am for a 5 PM kickoff. The seats we were in for the parade were a little less than 4 miles from the stadium. We left the parade about an hour or so before it ended to get ahead of the crowd, thinking we could uber, take a cab or use public transit. Had all three mapped out in case one didn't work. We took a combination of all 3. We nearly missed the kick off. almost 6 hours to travel less than 4 miles. That may have been just a bad day and its better normally but talking to local folks, especially cab and uber drivers, it was pretty typical. The local authorities do absolutely NOTHING to facilitate going to either event, going to both is a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG day. It is almost not feasible. Just getting to the game anytime after about 9 AM on game day would be worse than any traffic I have ever seen in Atlanta. I won't go back...been there, done that. It was bucket list trip and its been filled. I don't care where the natty is but the Rose Bowl would be the worst possible place to hold it.
