No there isn’t. The top two teams in the SEC will be in the playoff every single year, even after one loses an extra game. They won’t fall out of the top 10. The SEC will get three annually, four in strong years.

Not really.

Say 12-0 and #1 ranked Bama plays 10-2 and #10 or 11 Oklahoma in the SECCG and wins. OU likely drops to 12 or 13 and is left out.

And before you say #12 is in, not so fast. I believe there is an auto bid for the highest ranked non P5 school. So if they are ranked 14 or 15 (or even lower) they will actually bump the #12 team out of the playoff.
