I hope Pritchett has massively improved if he's a starter this year. Last year, he was assaulted out there.

Completely non-functional.

Like Chris Owens at RT level bad.

Apparently former TE coach Joe Cox recently said Amari Niblack was a “welcomed departure” and Cox never knew if Niblack would run the correct route because he was unwilling to learn the offense.

Well I might owe Milroe and my liver a couple apologies because I sure laid into both of them after Milroe appeared to not know what route or how to locate in stride Niblack on a couple of occasions last year that should've been easy touchdowns or huge plays.

What's the deal with these high skill level flex TE's being headcases?

if Brockermeyer is good enough to beat out Brailsford, I am actually going to be angry that Seth was our center last year with his constant frick-ups. Because if JB is that good, the staff fricked the team by keeping Seth on the field.

There has to be a story there. Has to.

Just like Niblack running the wrong routes, Bond being a mercenary with NIL and all the other madness that we lived through the last 12 months I refuse to believe they just kept running McLaughlin out there out of incompetence and that there was a glaring issue behind the scenes we just didnt know about.

I think you answered your own question.

Crazy that Saban would trot a guy like that out there. I guess he let the assistants control the personnel more towards the end.

Saban clearly lost his edge and toughness over the course of his 17 years at Alabama.

That shite happens when you become a grandparent. It changes you.

He literally just outcoached the new heir apparent to the CFB throne in Kirby Smart a few months ago. "Losing his edge" and getting worn down by the new ridiculous state of the sport are two very different things.

There are a lot of factors that go into a player earning a starting role. The options at center last year were:

1. Seth - can barely snap the ball but makes his block 50% or more
2. Dalcourt - can snap the ball but gets run over more consistently than any other lineman
3. Brockermyer - All signs pointed to him being nowhere close to ready last offseason.

There were no good options. Not much a coach can do about it.

Chris Capps is going to be mighty pissed off you left him out of this comparison.

Not that he could do anything about it...

Kendrick Law on Caleb Odom: "Caleb is a receiver. He's not a tight end. He's elite."

I hope that Law busts out in DeBoer's system. He has it in him.

He deserves it, he's put in the work and has been patient in this era of CFB. Shepherd said Law has some players up and out there at 5 am.

Leaders lead.

Anyone see this clip of Wommack chirping at Booker during warmups?

Twitter Video

Reeeeeally liking what we've seen so far from Wommack in terms of personality.

With the NFL thread gone I’m not sure where to post this but Jerry Jeudy was traded to the Browns.

Cleveland is an unfortunate place to live. “The Mistake By The Lake”. Absolutely BRUTAL winters with those lake effect snows of 4-6 ft.

Alabama football set to have one of the most dominant O-Line’s in CFB next year

Wish writers would leave off the hype this year and let the O-line develop without
the “rat poison”.

To be completely honest, this is a failure in the recruiting process. Saban used to have a keen knack at weeding out the head cases no matter how talented they were.

Recruit better and develop better. It really is that simple.
