What I would wonder about would be this:
Clearly, those of us who have grown up in the South have seen the changes -- who can say that Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, even Baton Rouge and Gainesville, look like they did in the 1970's -- but I would wonder if any of the transplants who have come have gotten caught up in the insanity surrounding SEC football? Are they part of the source of the new dollars -- or do the new dollars come from building them new roads, homes, schools, etc..? If I were an AD I would want to know. Also, if I were the chancellor at LSU or one of the other schools were athletic fundraising outraces endowment giving, I would want to know why, too.
All in all an interesting read -- one every SEC fan ought to be aware of. Is it possible that we are not just playing football?
