Georgia destroying FSU was case study in culture

UGA had reason to be upset about playoff snub

Bulldogs locked in
Seminoles checked out

FSU's success was because of how well they hit the transfer portal

But transfers tend to be mercenaries who value self over team

It all comes down to culture. Kirby has instilled pride in his program where as Mike Norvell had to rely heavily on the transfer portal to jump start FSU's rebuild. I'm sure Norvell will eventually get things where they need to be but for now the Seminoles roster is just full of selfish players who have absolutely no loyalty to the team or the university.

Its a reflection on the head coach and the culture he brings to the team. Much like last year when Bryce and Will played against K-State, Georgia felt they had something to prove. Yet again, compelling evidence that Kirby is
Saban 2.0 which should make Dawg fans pretty excited about the next 20 yrs or so.

Disagree, this isn’t about culture but about getting fricked about as hard as a player could get fricked in life.

Regardless of your culture, if you went undefeated, won your championship game in what is supposed to be a major conference, beat 2 teams in the most difficult conference and then told you don’t even get a chance because your QB got hurt… even though Alabama won the damn thing just a couple years ago with a backup QB?

Ya, as a player I would be like frick all that bullshite too and not give a frick about the bowl game. I think it’s a testament to their coach that he was even able to get some players on to the field, I sure as frick would not have played.

Surely you aren't really comparing Brock Glenn to Tua? Surely not?

Peter Burns isn’t wrong but this a might standard to hold in current college football.

Norvell squandered a huge opportunity to build a great program at FSU by teaching those kids a huge lesson on commitment. Instead he chose to be weak and play the victim. I hope he never coaches another team after FSU. He is a terrible example of a coach.

He blamed the committee last night said had they lost the conference title game, those players wouldn’t have opted out.

With even a close win vs UGA, the Noles could’ve shown they belonged and claimed a title. Hell, some organizations would probably have given them one. Those players knew they couldn’t compete, so they quit.

What’s worse is that his idiotic comment was liked by many morons who couldn’t put that together for themselves as well.

They went undefeated until a unified "football team" lined up on the other side of the football and took their asses to the wood shed.

So why didn't Auburn quit in 2004? They went undefeated in the toughest and deepest power conference, won the SEC Championship Game, and got left out of the national championship game in favor of USC and Oklahoma. Did any of them rage quit? No. They all showed up and beat Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.

I am curious about the environment in that program. If I was one of the guys that played last night, I would seriously resent the opt out guys. Especially the ones who aren’t expected to be drafted highly.

Players have been opting out for years dude. It is a business decision post-irrelevance. FSU was not given the deserved opportunity to prove anything. Even if they did beat Georgia all they would receive is an "atta boii-our basketball team should be pretty good this year"

Bama faithful continuing to heehaww about these decisions do so only because deep down they know FSU was screwed, and they need more reason to justify the committee's decision.

Relatively few of the guys who opted out are projected to be drafted highly. A lot of them are basically just throwing a hissy fit and/or were just scared to be a part of a beatdown.

They didn’t lose. 30 of them weren’t playing. They were gone. Nice try though.
