Any given Saturday UGA could beat Texas, and any given Saturday Texas could beat UGA. Both programs have highly ranked, talented players and good coaching. It's just a matter of who executes and makes the fewest mistakes. Now if we played like 10 times in a row I'd take Texas to win 6 of those, but I'm a bit biased.
Fact of the matter is once you get to the upper echelon teams the talent gap is not large, and in some cases a wash, and there has never been more parity overall in CFB. Or at least not since I've been old enough to pay attention. With NIL and the transfer portal, nobody will likely match what Saban was able to do at Bama for more than a decade. The top teams will still be top teams for years to come, but the top dog that rules them all will change from year to year.
